    Snowshoe, WV opening weekend pictures

This weekend ruled. Probably the most riding I have ever packed into two days. Both sides of the mountain were hottness.

Motomike on mountaincross. The new course is way fun.

This double is big and smooth.

    Mike.

    Powerline.

I risked it and took the DSLR down both sides in the camelbak. Was it worth the risk? You tell me.

    I'm jealous, my weekend bombed.

Just a little bit of dirt jumping, and surprisingly little illegal substance abuse....

Killer pics. Powerline was definatly one of the coolest trails on the mountain, and the mountain cross course was a blast. I remember seeing that orange M3, and pointin it out, cause it was a beaut. You guys look like you were rippin it up this weekend, and I wish i had some pics of my own to post, but we didn't bring a camera.

    I'd say yea!

Two things, 1) can't remember, did you get the cannon or the nikon? I thought you said cannon (tell us again which one)

    2) those "motion-blur, fill-flash" shots are great, and difficult to do unless you do it right. You got some real talent there.

ok, one more thing, sucks when you are the "good photographer" in the group 'cause there are never any good picts of you!

(very nice picts, submit best ones to a few mags, could be published)

That place looks fun. I wish Mammoth's snow would melt, so that we can take a chairlift to the top of a mountain...

I got the canon because of my lens selection. I like the Nikon better otherwise.

The weather was nice, cloudy and windy sometimes but we had some sunshine too.

I've seen drier up there late in the season, like August or Sept. But for May/June the trails were bone dry compared to how muddy they usually are.

Small pics off of the https://Ride.snowshoemtn.com website:

    Trevyn can rip.

This guy was amazing, he also hit a jump in the village, and rode down the stairs from the lift.
