New question here. Sau, my next frame will be...???

Ok, I want something new. Here is the deal: planning to sell my '03 Bighit frame and get something used with whatever I get from selling + 200 or so $. What I want: no single pivot, 7-8" of travel, pretty much freeride oriented with beginner downhill capabilites and 8.75x2.75 shock, not too long (wheelbase), 24" on the back- ok. What sould I look for?

Yeah, why you selling the bighit in the first place, it sounds almost like what you're looking for in a new bike.

No Konas for me, sorry. I just want something different so I'm looking around. Banshee might actually work. Why aren't they good for DH? Bighit pricing? I don't know. Was hoping just to trade.

the banshees are heavy (like 13 pounds frame only) it would work fine if you just want to "beginner dh."

Banshees are fine at dh, they're not the best for racing but its definitely possible. Rides a lot lighter than it would appear to when its on a scale, I've seen Experts rockin Banshees at races with a Slider+, 5th, SRS, and just a light strong build.

have to agree with the shore...very nice frame...i love the tubing at the head tube...definatly one of my fav 05' bikes...

other than that...i think ur looking for plush DH/FR bike...not a stiff DH racer...so look into 4bars...VPPs...new maestro...and other linakage designs...now would be a hard time to make a decision...but after interbike and before christmas would be a good time to decide and maby get in an order...
