    Roof Rack Question

Anyone know of a roof rack that can easily switch between bike mounting and surfboards? I would get a dedicated hitch for bikes and roof for boards but its too many bills for me. Rack would be going on a Subaru WRX sedan.

doesn't that already have like a mini rack on top...If it does I just wrap with aowel and use bungi cords...survived numerous Baja Mexico trips w/out a ding

then get a trailer hitch...big bikes don't like roof racks

Yeah it has a mini rack... but the hitch is a class 1 (?) and can really only hold two big bikes at max... I want to be able to carry 3 at least for shuttling.

so you are stoked on the mini rack for the boards. No rack is designed for 3 above 40 pound bikes. But people still run the 50's and 4 bikes....might want to switch it to the bigger rack or get a mini trailer....I have one of those and it hauls 5 bikes, but one time we had 7 on it
