My Six I've had for awhile, I was playing with the idea of getting rid of it, but realized with a few mod's, I could make it siiiiiiiiiiick.

6.2 in the back and 7.5 up front, "yeah baby yeah"(in the best Ludacris voice from his mini mee song)

Looks like you've got a bit of 'shabby chic' going on at your place!!!

But yeah, agree on the label thing. How crap is it when the stciker you actually want on there almost peels off by itself!!! My Z1FR1 stickers aren't even on straight either!

Pardon my preferences, but that bike would be extra hotski if you peeled off all the fork stickers.

Everything looks better without stickers and busyness... 888's look fandangopurfatastic without sticks! (Altho I like to leave the inner stickers on my MZ's - that 888 in there is cool) - Black shivers look orgasmic without their sticks...

WooHoo - I have never understood sticker people; or the people who put armor on their fork lowers but leave the stanchions exposed -- bah vanity....

I'm not a sticker guy, as you'll notice I got the stickers off my wheels and on my other fork. I just put it together and had to get off to work, I'll be removing them and that stupid warning sticker real soon. The fork protectors are for the stanchions that slide into what would normally be the lower fork legs, but this is an inverted fork, so the stanchions are on the bottom, like a dirtbike.

BTW, I had some financial crap come up, so I decided to sell instead of trade, hence why I have no VP free. The six frame does the job, and I really like it. The VP would be plush but I can't justify a $1700 frame this year, so I kept the Six.

I wash this muck off everytime I ride as you know that the mud around here has a perma stain if you leave it on too long. Some people swear by not washing their bikes, I think they're lazy, but they use the excuse of rust. I'd rather have a clean looking bike that functions because there's no muck in the pivots, der's etc and deal with replacing the chain, repacking the bb and headset once a year than have a mud caked bike that doesn't function...

I got her all buffed up for selling, I had both bikes in pieces on the floor for the past 2 weeks, sold some old stuff, and sold some new stuff, so what your seeing is a clean ride, and alot of new parts.

But yeah, I haven't ridden in about 3 weeks, can't wait!

After 12 miles @ Bear Creek yesterday I was too tired to clean her off.

    C'mon you know you want a VP-Free.......say it!......say it!....I want a VP-Free.....SAY IT!

That Shiver would look real nice on my VPF. Let me know when you sell it.....

Washing your bike is vital if you ride in mud. Unless you actually happen to like ghost shifting that is. When I ride in mud (often) I can notice the shifts getting sloppier and sloppier as time goes on and the bike gets muddier. Eventually the gears start skipping and sputtering. Clean out the derailleurs and cassette, good as new. Not to mention that, like you pointed out, Midwest dirt does in fact stain anything if you leave it on long enough. I think my clear coat will be good for a while, but I've stained several tires before. Don't really care about brown tires, but cleaning your bike is good. Just be careful around the BB and headset. I just use a damp rag most of the time. Works well.
