I have a pike and they are killer forks. I'd say, go get the pike. I have a sherman firefly and the pike is a better fork. It feals stronger and is both, more plush and stiff than the sherman. And you can run the pike all the way down to 95mm if you want a steep head angle. Or 140mm when you feal like hitten a stair gap.

Does the spring rate change when you adjust travel on a Pike?

I'll second that. Although I believe it may have been advertised as no change in spring rate.

If you are a light guy you might see a difference in the spring getting stiffer. But if you are a big guy like myself, you will hardly tell it. Any spring you tork down will get stiffer as you put pressure on it. Uturn or not.
