I have used them for the last 2 years. Keep then true and they are strong. I have done many 6 foot drops onto Flat (Concrete) and haven't destroyed the rims yet. Get a strong hub to back them up. I used XT Disc hubs because that is what I had at the time. I'm constantly tightening the cones and rarely truing the wheels.

My next set of wheels (when I get tried of screwing with the hub (REAR)) will have DT Swiss hubs Either the Onyx or FR's Depends on the cash flow.

Awesome rims, they'll survive some rough stuff. Not the strongest for DH/FR, but they aren't really meant for that either. More of an aggressive-XC rim that is super strong. They seem to stress the hub for me too...constantly tightening the cones and so forth...

If you have them handbuilt by a competent wheelbuilder, any rim/hub combo can be built very strong. When I was short on cash I had my Alex DM-18 rims laced to Joytech hubs I had around with DT Swiss 2.0 spokes (double butted). The wheelbuilder told me that the spokes would allow the rims to flex a bit under hard impacts, so it would hold up better in the long run. I've used them for light freeride and dirtjumping and they're holding up fine. Since then, I've learned to build my own wheels, seeing as how I'm one of the mechanics at the local shop now... I used to have Rhynolite XLs on my Haro Escape, they were great rims, nice strength to weight ratio. They're more of a aggro xc rim, but they build up very strong.

they are a pretty damn good deal, just make sure you get the ones with the xt or better hubs, i regret getting the cheaper ones simply because the lx hubs or whatever they are blow. another thing is that they don't come tensioned very tight so before every ride you should definitly check the tension. the rims themselves are pretty strong, i had a mavic crossland rim that i was running kinda low psi on cause of a small leak and destroyed it, running the same psi on the rhyno lites and they're holden up just fine. they are kinda heavy, fyi
