New question here. Renovate my GT DHi

    Hi.
    I have a GT DHi - 04.
I bought my bike used but I did not get any manual when I bought the bike.

Now I want to renovate it but I do not know how to open the "botten-bracket".
I have checked GT home page but with no good result, also they do not answer email.

Is there any one who know how to open the "botten-bracket" and who can instruct me?

Are you talking about taking out the bottom bracket or the idrive bearings and such?

The bottom bracket is the set of bearings your crank spindle is resting on, it has nothing to do with the suspension at all.

Take off crank arms, remove the bottom bracket with a BB tool, and change it, it's not a part worth rebuilding.

    Hi.

The bottom bracket is already replaced. Now I want to service "the idrive bearings and such", is there any one who know how to do?

Use a adjustable pin spanner (hardware store) to remove the i-drive ring/race, unbolt the dogbone and pull the caged bearings out and regrease them. I used to do it all the time. It's pretty easy once you do it for the first time, it's sort of like a large headset turned on it's side.

Yeah that should work but I meant to say "snap ring pliers". This is similar to what I use:
