    rear derailleur question

My brother messed up my rear derailleur while riding my bike and im looking into getting a new one..What type of derailleur do you guys use for freeride and downhill? Are there any brands that are good or even better than sram and shimano?(i don't care about the looks of it, if it has to be hot pink, then let it be hot pink

Heavier spring means less banging against frame and better shifting (less ghost shifting)

    Sram X-9

I really like my X-9 stuff. I have it for DH and XC and it works great. I got to dick around on the new Shimano Shadow stuff and it felt pretty nice (granted I was on a grass field).

Nonsense, SRAM derailleurs are famous for not lasting long.

If any of your derailleurs are ghost shifting, u and your mechanic suck.
