    Rage Against The Machine??

Pardon me as I'm sure this is very old news but on the inside cover of Rage's past CDs in the Thanks section they mention Intense, Shimano, etc. Anyone especially on the left coast ever see any of those guys out riding? What were they on? Thanks.

Always cracked me up, listening to them and then reading the liner notes where they thank all these hi-end bike components. CK, Intense...what not. And Shimano. Yeah, thank Shimano. Always wondered if there was a conflict of interest there? Humm, wonder if AudioSlave thanks anyone? Have to go home and check.

You wouldn't expect them to ride around on Next bikes as a political / social statement would you? Surely a guy can ride a nice bike and still stick it to the man...

Hahaha, can you get any more "Man" than Shimano? I could see them riding around on old bikes bought from Salvation Army, spray painted matte colours, with revolutionary stickers plastered all over, and a card (Ace of Spades) in the spokes.

Yes the same thing is in the Audioslave Cover. I think it's either the bassist or drummer that rides.

I know in my heart that Ellsworth bikes are more durable by as much as double. AND they are all lighter...Tony Ellsworth

Bassist Timmy C. has had a few Intense bikes back in the day. Don't know what he's ridin now. We hooked Tim up thru our old outside rep Chris that has since moved on to Oakley.

(Tim if you read this, I never got a chance to say thanks for the signed Vinyl and rage sweat shirt!)

    Funny...

I just broke out my RATM cd's these past couple weeks, and while paging through the thank you's, I also became aware of all of these bike related thank you's. Decided to search before I post, and what do you know, already been brought up. Anywhoo, some of the one's I found were...

    Jose Aguilar-Bad Ass Bike Mechanic
    straight bars
    SPD's
    XTR
    XTR Bottom Bracket
    Tyler - Trek
    Hydraulic Brakes
    Intense Mountain Bikes
    Santa Cruz Heckler
    Schwinn Bikes
    Gogi Aluminum
    ovalized tubing
    Titanium bolts

Every album except their self titled album had some, but most were off "Renegades" and "The Battle of Los Angeles".

    Those guys just plain rock.
