Questions for you guys with wrx wagons with the thule hitch mount bike rack

question, i just got the hitch for my car, biggest one was a class 1 1.25 hitch. thule says that the t2 is too much of a rack for this hitch. let alone for two HD bikes. I know i have seen some pictures of a wagon with a hitch mount on it. i want to know how its holding up, which hitch you have, and how much wight you put on it.
i did a search to find these pics, and went through almost 3pages of searches. but no luck.
Please let me konw, looking to switch out my roof rack for something more MPG friendly.
    please post up.
    Thanks
    Shane

I've got a 1.25 hitch for my GTI, it's the only size I could find for it. What I'm going to do is just change the actual receiver out by welding in a 2" piece. As long as I don't try and haul a boat or something retarded, I figure this is the only fix.

I used to have a STi impreza (not wagon) but I think I had the same hitch. I use a yackima bike rack I picked up for cheap. holds 4 normal bikes, or 2 DH bikes. But I've done 2 DH bikes and a wally world bike on there before.

yea, i have been thinking of cutting the stock 1.25 hitch off and welding on the 2" would be better. any of you guys have pics of your hitch mounts?
