    Question

I am looking for a new bike, something I could use for free riding but could also use for down hill. My budget is pretty tight, 5-6 hundred dollars, so I'm mostly looking at used bikes.

So far my options seem to be a stp 2 or maybe a P bike. I know that both of these bikes would work well for urban, but how would the hold up on DH, with maybe 3-4 foot drops.

Any suggestions for other bikes are appreciated.

I need a complete bike, I've done dhing before but have been off the trails for over a year so I'm probably not very smooth anymore. And yes, 3-4 foot drop to a flat.

Used P2 sounds like just the right bike, they are really strong and you could put a long travel single crown fork like a 66 or travis single 150 on it when you get some more money
