    Please help - Reign X vs G-spot

    Hi to all

I am 175(cm), 140 pound. Which would you go for an AM/light FR purpose - Giant Reign X or Cove G-spot. If you can, please give pros and cons for each.
    Many thanks

    Im 5'5" and 160...

I have owned a g-spot and currently ride a reign X and the choice for AM/LT FR is beyond an easy win for the Reign X.

    G-spot:
Pro's....Burly, Best bike for jumping I have owned, Short chain stays make it very flickable and an overall great choice for true Freeride or slopestyle.
Cons... Peddles absolutely awful, Flexy in the rear, ultra High leverage ratio not ideal for my tastes for a plush, tunable feel.

    Reign X...
Pros- peddles fantastic, can be built very light (mine sits at 36.8 lbs) low bb anb longer wheelbase make it a great descender, overall fun and plush bike for everything.
Cons- cant run a DC fork even if I wanted to. and thats about it so far.

    Reign X

I can't say anything about the g-spot, but I recently got a reign x for the same purpose as you and love it. It is a killer bike and an awesome deal. It will handle anything you throw at it.

If you really must run a dual crown fork, there are a few 6+ inch travel bikes that can use a dual-crown without voiding the manufactures warranty.

    Santa Cruz Nomad
    Specialized SX Trail
    Intense Slope Style

    A few others I guess???

    Anyone know??

not sure on the numbers... just going off feel and basic comparison of shock stroke vs. travel.

If you have to pedal get the Giant and forget about a dual crown. If you want to get steazy with a FR rig. check out the Cove STD. I like the G spot but I think it will be out dated very soon (a prove bike though) and the STD is one bad ass bike. I say this with out knowing the price difference, but Cove makes killer bikes and the quality is exceptional.
