    PICS: Riding The DEMO...

as many of you if not all of you will have noticed...i havnt posted anything in a short while...

because ive been doing a ton of riding...

im still yet to really push this bike and put it through something thats worthy of owning one...but 20' ft doubles and singletrack will have to do for now as dave still isnt back from overseas...

anyways...heres a pic of me pulling a hannah over some small 16' ft doubles...

(ive been able to stand up and get them really straight latly...i want to try a ruler but would need a huge jump for that...has anyone pulled one on a DH bike before)

one of me testing out my new run in from the side...

and my DEMO9 before it became a walking dust collector...

    (very hot and dusty here)

'Bout time you got to take that bad boy out for a ride! Looks like some fun! And some people say bikes with 7+ inches of travel cant DJ

I've heard both names MX wise here stateside, Ruler/Kiss of death, whatever. Same trick, just like tabletops or flatties..Which is what I like to do anytime I catch some air on my bike.

    Keep on having fun!

ive seen someone crash doing a kiss of death on a MTB. Wasnt a DH bike though, looked like a XC hardtail or something. I think youd need a pretty massive amount of air time to get one of those on a bike without a motor. Its the weight of the bike that helps keep MXers straight.

    Technically...it's a rolling dust collector.

I've decided to go for buying myself a new bike. Specialized P.2 It will probably be march before I'll be able to afford it. It's going to be bloody killer. My current bike is out of commission. The weather finally cleared up and it's damn fine outside, but no wheels.

    Ahh what the hell...

Since people are adding pics I might aswell show off my a couple pics from over the summer...

This drop is behind a car dealership. You actually gap over the small drop even though it doesn't look like it:

This drop is at a local mountain and is actually off the top of an old plumbers van:

Me ripping down the singletrack with a friend following:

Shot of me after me and my friend raced down the trail, shows you how muddy it was, and how badly I beat my friend down the mountain :

And lastly, me carving my way through the mud, damn all you guys and your hadpack trails! :

the jump your talking about is at ALs house who lives next door to EV but is allways spending time with his GF and is too kool for us now so we never see him...but there only about 25' ft and 7'ft high in the middle of a flat paddock...

so towing in would be nice but isnt totally essential...you just got to absaloutly bust you guts...and plus all of us only own DH bikes...

nice to see im off your ignore list...

Dude, I think in "the day" before the 'the day' Hannah rode for Yamaha, prior to his later career with Suzuki? I think Decoster rode a Suzuki....but check me on that.

Mick Doohan was an Aussie that could ride! But I think Kenny Roberts (Sr.) on his Yam woulda smoked him....in the day!

DeCoster predates Hannah. Rick Johnson was Honda, at least for the bulk of his winning years on 250's. I think he went on to race baja trucks after that... And how bout Jeff Ward, coming back from Indy cars to race motard. He rocks for a short guy...

Johnson was Honda in his prime. He might have ridden for Kawasaki later on, but I don't remember that. And yeah, DeCoster is lost on this crowd. He was King when MX bikes had metal gas tanks and two shocks on the rear.

True, Hannah's winningest moments were with Yamaha. After he got hurt he was never quite the same--went to Honda then to Suzuki. Funny part is that he went to Suzuki at the beginning of his career and they turned him down. Ooops.

No one in the states knows who HH is. Its all about who is hot right now.
I guess only those of us up a few years that have an MX background will know those guys... Let's not forget RJ (mentioned earlier too) Jeff Ward (they had some great battles), and my favorite of all-time David Bailey. What about Johnny O' Mara? Didn't he actually transition from MX to the bike circuit?

Just to make a few of you jealous, I actually went riding a few times with DeCoster and his family when he worked with Team Honda in the 80's and lived in Santa Barbara. I was just a wee tyke, but those have to be some of my best memories...
