wait sometime, alot of P.2 owners' bottom brackets wear out over time. and its anoyying while they are.
mine was about 4 months of riding and it was completely done.
Got the truvativ giga pipe team DH,($51 american) and its running strong.
I was thinking of a bashgaurd, but i didnt seem to need one.
oh, and the tires dont last long.
    have fun p.2's kick ass.

save up for a new fork.

until then, depending on what you're riding, I'd swap out the tires. I use Kenda K-Rads on mine and they work great for what I do (urban/DJ). $12 a piece, can't beat that

My bottom bracket only lasted 3 months, my LBS hooked me up with a new one the other day. I'll second the K rad tires, just put some on mine two weeks ago, and I love them. The other thing I upgraded was the fork, I put a set of 2004 DJ 3's on it.

i have a p2 and after 4 months of riding my crank was creaking. I took it the LBS and i ended up having to pay like 70 for a new bb and for a check up. If i were you i would buy a bb and then after that save up for a new fork, because those exr craps suck!

buy a bottom bracket tool so u can take it out and clean it when it creaks, not just blame it on being broken (most of the time it isnt, its a decent bottom bracket)

ya he's right, but another thing is that as long as your smooth and bend your knees then you won't have to worry about it as much. But still i think you should save up for a fork.

I've gotten to ride a P.2 a couple of times before at a local shop...I fell in love with that thing...too bad that $900 price tag doesn't match well with my temp job as a pizza delivery guy.
