After touting MRP G2 as "so easy a caveman can do it.....just 3 bolts and you are done" in another thread, you don't know how to do it? LOL

    Sick bike though!

Is running a front tire that large still justifiable anywhere in so-cal? Even at Mammy it's a joke, 2.5 rip just as good.

Nice bike SMT. Now clean your garage.

Looks beautiful Bob, hope you love it! PS: dibs on buying the frame if you ever decide to sell and its not totally broken beyond all repair. I tried to get ahold of an M6 but it just wasn't in the cards. V10 on the way.

SMT. I'm not trying to be negative towards you man, just trying to help. I love the look of the bike and am so stoked/jealous towards anyone with a M6. What I am talking about is this:

On your brake cable, after the last clip to the frame (which IMO was one of the best inventions this industry finally started making standard), run the cable on the INSIDE of the seatstay instead of the outside. This will prevent that cable from snagging on any brush and you loosing brake fluid all over the trail. :-)

Just trying to help man, and props on the new ride.

Wikid SMT looking good for 2010

I see ya waiting on the Evo Ti was gonna be WTH no 888 EVO lol ?

Now like ya got some ribbing on the MRP bro def too many Corona's or Elephant beer Ya let us MRP boy's down on that one

Just q not crit, but why the Mini G and not the std G2, you either run a very tight small cluster rear, but would have thought 36T would have been small enough up front, mini seems a bit limiting for an M6 some courses ya might want to go up to a 38t for more top end just saying

    Congrats though Captn SMT

Not sure about that. Looks pretty tight in there, and the cable would have to bend a lot to stay tight with the stay. I'd say it could easily snag on stuff on the wheel if you route it on the inside...could be more dangerous that way. It actually looks quite protected from branches and stuff as it is now (although you need to tighten it up a bit and use that third clip there, that's all).

Anyway yeah, sick bike for sure, looks real good. Enjoy!

There is a ton of room on the inside for the cable.

Most of the M6's, if not all, are routed this way (inside). Same for the rest of the models as well.

I think SMT probably had too many margaritas while building the bike.

Are you guys on drugs, lol? There isn't a single bike in that thread with the cables routed INSIDE. They are all routed like SMT's, it's just that he "forgot" to use the 3rd clip (or it fell off....or the dog ate it...or whatever...).

This is the first picture from the M6 photo album. Most of them are routed this way, with the rear brake line going inside.

actually just shots of Patron Silver washing down with beers.....I always ran my M-3's that way...currently re-routed to the inside....got it dialed in now....might need a lesser pound spring....400 seems too much

It is Scotch 2228 Moisture sealing electrical tape. You can get it at home depot but it comes 1 inch wide. I just have a line or seam between the two strips...still comes out smooth....you can order the 2 inch wide but it is double the cost

"Mastic Tape" is the name it's usually called. Not with the rest of the tape at Home Depot/Lowes. It's in the electrical aisle. Awesome stuff. Found on all my bikes.

SMT, that bike is too pretty for you. I hate you....

Nice bike B, you should have just taken the rear wheel off and wrapped it around the stay overlapping just a smidge! Just a thought.

    Nice looking!

I second that. pull that off while its still cold bob, go pop for the 2 inch tape.. the bike is worth it. look there's a chip on the frame already from the chain- right where the chain is closest after leaving the cg roller... wrap that stay all the way!
i want to post more but i can't stop riding!

Bike looks magnificent. By the way the flat section of the Mini G2 bash guard should be level with the ground.
