New Jersey: xc at diablo freeride park?

I'm going to Diablo park this Sunday for the first time.

    I see there's great freeride/downhill there.

Anyone know if there are cross country trails at or near the park?

Yes, there is XC trails at the park and also check out waywayonda park for XC, I herd that is good too....

This may be a good starting point.

I was at diablo last Saturday and saw a handful of XC guys ride the lift to the top. I'm not sure which way they went, but they definetly did not look like they knew where they were heading.

I still don't know where the XC trails are once you get to the top. Perhaps you have to take SOME of the DH stuff to get there?

I wish I knew...might like to try it one day.....

To get to the XC trails, you ride down the dirt road off the far right of the top of the lift (the one between OTB and Upper Dominion). It curves left on a steep downhill, and the trailhead is right where the road starts to level out (don't get too much speed going, or you'll keep riding straight and miss the turn).

I last rode them two years ago, and I hear they haven't really kept up any maintenance or signage. One of our guys from NYCMTB is going out there Sunday to ride XC, and I'm sure he'd love some company...
