    New Free Ride Bike

    OK i am looking for a new freeride bike and i was wondering what ur ideas were. I have 500 dollars to spend and i am 6 foot and 160 pounds. I really like jumping it (urban Areas).

    500U$ aint gonna git you much more then a decent Hardtail such as a Specialized P1 or some such. Watch the classifieds on this site as well as pinkbike and ridemonkey sometimes a good deal will pop up but you better be quick wid da cash.

    Yeah save up some more money because there is not many very good freeride hardtails for $500.

    maybe something like a GF Mullet, usually around 550-600, but a left over '06 might be had for deal right now.

    As others have said, buy used for sure. That'll get you the most bang for your buck in a budget price range. If may take a bit of patience to find something worth while at $500, but be careful and if you have any questions on specific bikes just ask us.

    For bikes, I'd definitely go with a hardtail though. Any sort of full suspension bike at around $500 is asking to be broken if it isn't already from freeriding. Plus hardtails teach you finesse, flow, and smoothness.
