    New Bike Possibilitys?

I wanna spend about 900 dollars and i was wondering what kinda bike i should get. I am 6' about 180 lbs. I like to do urban riding and some dirt jumping stuff i am really looking to get into this because my local shop hosts rides every wednesday and they go beat around town and do urban riding or they go to this place they built and there are differnt obstacles or they will just go do a basic trail ride so i am looking to get into it. So i was wonderin what you guys opinions was, the only bike i have in mind is the 08 stp from giant or the the bitter from gary fisher. Just tell me what you think or any suggestions and i will try to give you guys feedback or more info. thanks
