    new bike/fork decision

I have a 2005 Specialized Hardrock Pro, which I have been riding for cross-country for the past three seasons, and am looking to upgrade. The place where I ride has recently put in some freeride stuff, and is expanding very quickly, so I'm thinking of doing that more than cross-country, since it's more fun for me anyway. The thing is, my Hardrock is not really set up for freeriding just yet. I was recomended to try a Tora on it, since the frame is beefy enough already for me. I also noticed a Scott Voltage in the shop for a price that I could afford.

What do you guys recommend I do? Should I try to upgrade my Hardrock or go for a bike built for freeriding? My price range for a new fork would be around $200-$250, but a new bike would probly be, for me, around $700.

I have access to shops around me that carry Specialized, Giant, Cannondale, Kona, Gary Fisher, and Scott bikes, so one of those would be best.

    Thanks,

    Ian

    Bullit Maybe?

A used Bullit maybe? There might be a good deal on an '03 or so floating around.
