you could possibly take links out of your chain if it's that floppy. but an e13 made for elevated chainstays should work.

Bullet Bros. made a lever with a spring on it for 25 bones - worked decent if you want CHEAP!

As for MRP - SOOOOOooooooo OLD SCHOOL. Had one on my M1 and tried the system 3 on my M3. Then I tried NEW technology and went with an E13. Less friction, noise, and less chance for chain drop; there is no comparison. MRP is dead in the water and anyone who doesn't think so has their eyes closed to newer/better technology. E13 RULES for upper end guides.

    Have FUN!

Which chainring are you using for going down hills?
The small ring will leave huge amount of loose chain flapping around, especially, if you are also using a small rear cog.

First of all, make sure your rear derailleur cage is on the highest tension setting. That's pretty much free! Those bullet bros spring lever things worked great but they don't work with a low-normal derailleur.

The blackspire stinger is ok, but the wheel has only one bearing in it. There is no rear bearing! It just jams up and doesn't turn. I put a MRP wheel on my stinger arm and now it's perfect.

You want cheap and you main goal is to protect your paint....

I have a bike tube with holes in it that I will sell you for $15 (shipping included) that you can wrap around the chainstay and will also provide instructions to take a link or two out of the chain so it is not hitting the ground.

Let me know if you are interested.....

I've been happy with the MRP LRP guide. I have had them on the last 3 rigs, w/o any issues. Slight spam, but I have a brand new one I will get go for cheap if you are interested. PM for details.

alright, blackspire stinger looks good, but is it compatable? I have 2 chaingrings up front on my stock haro x6. and is it hard to install by myself?

    Nope, pretty easy I guess...

You need a Etype/Chainguide compatible bottom bracket and some minor adjustments and thats it..

Yeah, super easy to set up as long as you know how to remove a crank arm it is totally cake. I have the stinger on my Enduro, and think it is almost as good as the LRP. I highly suggest getting a MRP LRP roller if you go with the Stinger though. The softer durometer roller is a lot better than the hard plasticy Blackspire one. They are only 10 bucks or so...
