    My weekend...

Was sick. I started of riding a sick freeride trail in VT with a ton of flowy drops and trails. It was perfect. We then mosied down to Plattekill where i was quickly put in my place. That place is sketchy. I fell 2 times in my first 3 runs, where i learned that in loos shale you CANNOT steer with your front wheel... The place is sick otherwise. I have never ridden a place so raw. They dont do anything to the trails, if there is a 10 foot drop in it fine, they wont change it or go around it.

This weekend i gained so much confidence. I went from being hesitant on some drops to becoming comfortable on 10+ foot drops.

We then went back to VT today where i snapped my hayes rear brake line... Fun...

    Nice...

My weekend was lame. Bike decides to break right before the holiday weekend, and then I get sick. I haven't left my house since Friday night.

Yah, the place is sick. The new 4x course is gnarly. There is a 10' drop on it, smooth and fun, (they claim it to be 12-15) on the 4x course. Bones will break...

They also have a fun dub coming out of the 4x course that leads into a wallride. My front tire skimmed the top .

Wish you could have made it WCH.

    Hmmm....
Saturday: I wished I was riding
Sunday: I rode some at Legend Park. Was going to do a 15ish foot drop, but my bike was making spooky noises.
Monday: No riding, but I took my bike to the shop to have my new pike installed.

Saturday - managed to hit some local trails before leaving for TN.

Saturday night - spend the night in a Roach Motel on the HillBilly Las Vegas strip: http://www.pigeonforge.com/attractions/attractions.asp

Had to walk a mile through roaming hordes of inbreds just to find a 6 pack of Rolling Rock at the "general store"

Sunday morning - more of the same in Gatlinburg & as a result never made it to Windrock for DH'in'

Sunday night - got pissed off and refused to spend another night in the Roach Motel and drove 2 hours to see my in-laws who aren't much better than the inbreds on the HBLV strip.

Drove 2 more hours back home to GA and got to bed by 3 am only to wake up to a steady down pour of rain on Monday morning.

Manged to sneak out to a local trail @ 5pm and coat my bike with 2 tons of GA's finest peanut buttery red clay.

Spent 2 more hours cleaning off said clay.

GAWD, I can't wait to move back to the West Coast.

Platty is the $hit. What a great weekend camping there. Perfect weather except for the 9 hrs of rain sat night. Platty drains better than any place. Look out for those shale rocks-they'll get ya. I've been going for 8 yrs and just found 2 new trails this weekend. Its better to have someone show u around. PM me next time you go.I was the guy w/ the howling dogs on the lowest level of parking.
