    My Nicolai Ufo St

    Hey guys,

    Well here it is,

    My first NICOLAI DUALLY.
This model is the NICOLAI UFO ST
single pivot type of suspension, with dhx 5, 1.5 headtube, 135 MM spacing with a 12 mm axle. The frames offers from 6.5" to 8" of travel.
This frame has black anodisation and powdercoated candy red front triangle.
The ti rod is made to canalize the force that is put on impact on the downtube through to the rod and back to the base of the widget on the seatpost.

    Specs :

    forks: boxxer world cups
    brakes: avid juicy carbon
    stem: sic
    bars: pro taper
    shifter: XO
wheels: mavic 729 on dt swiss 440 S trued by naz with locktite
    derailleur: XO
    seatpost: thomson
    seat: fizik freek
    cranks: diabolous
    cassette: sram road cassette
    chainguide: changing that.
    pedals:FUNN

I think that's it. I haven t ridden it yet as i have been very busy this week end but intend to take it out real soon. You'll have a full report from me and possibly a magazine.
This Frame is a bargain, it retails frame only at around australian $3200 and you still have the opportunity to choose from 60 powdercoating colours 15 different decals and or anodisation (black is free , but gold or silver is a surcharge).

Please feel free to ask me anything about the bike.

    Let the good times roll.

    Nicho

Yeah it is a sick bike,
I generally tell the customers around TWO months wait for the frame give or take a couple of weeks. Nicolai makes to order so it's pretty much built for you and you can be sure that in the end you'll have an end product that is going to be unique and remarkable.
They do amazing things and people don't realize the potential of this brand and what they can offer. Of course the money has to follow but the UFO ST is on of their most affordable frame and they are very competitive in prices.

that bike is off the HOOK!!!!! Is that a custom paintjob or were you able to get it like that? Some more questions: what size frame is that? how tall are you? and of course-what's it weigh?

Also for the people wondering how much it is. I believe that the base price is somewhere around $1775 U.S.....

Every paint job on nicolai is custom as it is made to order, Nicolai does it for you when you order one. so you choose from 60 powdercoating colours, 3 anodisation, or even a camo colours of your three colours of choise, and you can choose from 15 different colour decals.
This frame is a medium and i'm 6 foot.
The total weight of this puppy is 19 KG. ready to race slash, huck.

    Hope that was helpful.

    www.nicolai.net

its no secret, nicolai makes some of the best frames on the planet, their bikes won pretty much every 1990's World Cup event. Then all their good riders went to huge american bike companies.

They still pump out incredible incredible handmade prescision bikes, but a large amount time and money is the payoff to us americanos. The quality on their frames is unrivaled, they only use Custom easton tubing and perfect welds for everything. Quality is better than foes, intense, yeti, etc. Beautiful.

go to www.nicolai.net and check out the BMXTB RACE frame. Easily the sickest 4x hardtail in the world. Easily.
170mm profile crankset, silver king headset barely used, new blackspire chainguide, old version hope mini brakes---- all for sale at i-wanna-get-rid-of-it prices. I'm gone all of july after the 10th, other than that PM me if interested.

Well the rod is made to relief the stress put on the down tube and bive a lot of lateral stiffness aswell. That way the shock doesn t take all the lateral load.

By the way this bike is amazing, it rides so smotthly, to be honest i had a v10 before and it never performed aswell as this one.
    I absolutely adore it.

I had ordered a Nucleon TST while I was still in Germany..... But the deal fell through. I was quoted a wait time of two months, but after four I had enough.

I'd still jump all over a Nicolai rig if I could find one.

the thing with most germans is they want perfection. so if things go bad and they can't perfect it they won't finish till it is perfect. i know cause my faja's german and get don't let anyone get away until it's somewhat perfect
