My new toy - Demo 9

Just thought I'd post a pic of my new toy since it's nearly finished (still got to trim cables and hoses, fit the chain device, and get a stiffer spring for the Swinger).

Thanks to everyone who's helped with my useless questions.

Unfortunately not, the weather is awful and its dark when I go to work and dark when I get home (hence the awful reflection off the drivetrain). I'm dying to ride it though.

Not sure yet, quite bit though. Was pretty light until I put those intense intruders on, didn't realise they were 7lbs a pair Hopefully they'll work well!

Yeah I was torn between the two sizes but the small was a closer fit to my patriot it's replacing and I prefer to run a smaller bike for DH type duties. Think it comes from riding BMX's for years as a kid.

How you finding it on our courses?

Enjoy it. I love mine. I got mine as dirty as LastMinuteBastrd's once out at Big Bear, but I washed it before the opportunity to take a picture came up. Now I'm kinda sorry I din't get the pic.

    Vroom...Vrooom....

Just had to bust bentimby a little. Nice flat field with grass like quicksand but the woods in the background are were the real play grounds are. :-)

That pic was even after I drove through a little rain that washed some mud off... I've had it dirtier than that.

One thing I recommend you do, is find someone with a D 9 pro and trade links with them. The Pro came with a black link, and the DH with a silverish one. I swapped with a buddy and both bikes look soo much better. You can kinda tell in the pic... need to clean it up again and get some more recent shots.

That could be tricky as we only got the frame as you see on mine imported, no full Demo 9's here this year, or next

Thought I recognized that mud . . . that pic is taken in the parking lot at Lutsen, right? Rode there a couple of times this season, once when it was wet and the clay was so thick that my bike wheels locked up and I had to lug it (40lbs of bike + 40lbs of clay) back to the top to hose it off. Never saw you there . . . maybe next season.

close... the mud was from lutsen, but the parking lot was at gooseberry falls, if I remember right. Never had the mud lock up my wheels, but have ridden there plenty of times when it was pretty bad.
