    My New Race Sled.. w00t!

Here she is, after a few months of gathering parts from here and there, it is complete.
Here are the specs as it sits:
Chumba Racing F4, Medium, Floating Brake
    Racface Diabolus Cranks w/ BB
    Thomson Post
    Marzocchi 888RC, Flat Crowns
    Hayes HFX MAG
    Alligator 203mm Rotors
    Selle Italia SLR
    SUNLINE V1 OS 31.8x745mm
    Shimano XT Shifter
    Shimano Ultegra Short cage
    Sun Ringle Zulu
    Maxxis High Roller 2.35"
Maxxis Minion DH (F) 2.5" Super Tacky
    e.Thirteen 36T Pro Ring
    e.Thirteen LG1 w/Taco
    Shimano Ultegra 14-23T -> 6 Speed w/spacers
Hope Pro II Blue 12x135mm laced to Mavic 721 rim via DT SWiss Stainless black spokes 2.0mm/Brass Nipples
Atomlab Trailpimp front wheel with Dt Swiss 20mm hub

    TO COME:
    Obtanium Ti Spring
    Hope Mono M4's
    EX721 w/ Hope Pro II 20mm

Any ideas for weight savings? I know the fork weighs a ton but it rocks and is dependable.
And unless I stumble across a $400 40RC2, it is staying for now.
    Cheers!
    Erik

    Nice bike for sure!!!

If you want to drop some more weight, those Diabolus cranks are pretty chunky...

I'll sell you a Fox RC2 for $400... it needs an oil change, new seals, and a rebuild, but for 400 bucks it's a good deal. Hit me up for more details.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

    Sweet lookin rig.

Why run a 6 speed cassette though? And Is 14-36 a big enough gear for you? 11-36 is my big gear and I def use it. Haven't maxed it out yet but I could see it happening. And I'm FAR from a big dude with lots of leg power.

    Thanks dude.
The terrain where I spend most of my time is fairly steep with a few short climbs and is very technical. I never find myself flat out on my lowest gear so I figured Id weight weenie it up and see how I liked it. Weight is negligible, Ill probably throw them back on anyway.
    Thanks for the comments!
