Thanks eb / Evil e, I built it up last night and I have not had a chance to ride it yet.
I have an OLD pair of bb(?) on my Rumble that work great. I think the BB7's should do the trick. I do not plan on riding DH with it (got the 9.5 for that), just hitting the local FR spots.

Good question? If you notice, there is another adjustment hole that I can move the FWD shock mount to. The FWD placement will slack it out a bit more if needed. It did not feel steep just sitting on it. I will find out tonight when I take it out for the first time.

Thanks.. I did not polish them, they came in that way(not bad for a $110 wheel set). I just pulled the stickers off the front rim. I will take the stickers off the rear rim tonight.
I think that 'owie' is a plug weld? Its hard to tell in the pic's. Good eye though, I will confirm tonight.

whats the bb height? When i built up one for my wife (the classic, not the dna) and put a 01 super T on it, the bb was like 15.5"! Cant imagine how high the one on that sucker is with the shiver. oh well. Still sucks that MC is now out of business. I knew a few people that worked there, and it sucks. hopefully someone buys em up.

I moved the FWD shock mount last night to slack it out a little and lowered the BB height a 1/4" (15.25").

It started out at 15.5" and dropped a 1/4" when I moved the link. I think the difference is that the DNA was made with a 5"-8" fork in mind. I was going to buy the new Battery frame when it came out, but decided to go with the DNA when I found out they were closing. I hope someone buys them.
Post some pic's of that Classic!!

The Shiver is a slight improvement but MC bikes are just as gangly and ugly as they ever were.........not my cup of tea.

cant post the pics, we sold the frame a couple months back so that i could get my wife a new stinky dee. She likes the feel of that bike a lot better. It has a whole slew of advantages over the mtn cycle. Mainly it was geometry and sizing issues, even though it was a small, it was still to tall for her at 5'6". the Stinky took care of that one right away, and i think the lower COG helped her conering and she feels alot more confident.

New question here. Mountain Cycle San Andreas DNA Reamed and Faced?

Hi, I have a question guys.
Does the Mountain Cycle San Adreas DNA frame come Reamed and Faced? I am going to built my own bicycle and I think this will be a problem if it does not come reamed and faced.

    Thank You.

I did not have any issues building it, nor did I have to ream or face anything.
Good luck. Post it up when you are finished!

    Cable Housing

I got my mountain cycle san andreas DNA frame and it is amazing. However, trying to install my shifter XTR is hell because the cable housing is not compatible. Which brand of cable housing did you us?I saw something called Gore-Tex "Ride-On". Can you help me in this one please. I am stock.

    Thanks
