    making a trip

hey all im making a trip into the city faily soon and im considering geting a new bike. The dealers in edmonton are Banshee, rocky mountain, specialised, Norco, Brodie and Canondale and Giant. Right now i ride and 03 norco drop with a super T and and every ones Fav the P2 with the JR T. I hafta pedal around alot to get to trails and there arn;t any shuttle runs or lifts here pedaling isn't much of a problem though. Though i would like a bike that is good for lift runs becuse im planing on making few trips to whistler and calgary olympic park. Race ready would ge great. but i would also like it to handel 5 to 15 ft drops. if i hafta change chain rings / chain to race not a problem. Any sugestions would be greatly apreciated.

I would check out Brodie and Norco. The Brodie Demon seems pretty good, and Norco has a lot of good bikes. If you want it to be race ready I wouldn't recommend the Banshee cause they are super heavy, maybe look into giant if you really wanna race.
