Are you referring to the shock size or production status?

I realize you may have some inside information. My guess is that they are just saying that until Sea Otter. This bike will see production.

I agree 100% so many people have asked for this bike and have passed on the 951 for something different. Myself included.

Getting the 2010 upgrades done to my CCDB next week for another season on my M6.

I wouldn't have said more meat on the bone, its a bit deceptive, but when you put them side by side (Or on top) you can see notable differences:

(Had to flip the pic to compare.)

down tube curves in the opposite manner to the 2009 CRC team frame (top), the 'new' one (Bottom one) has no ISCG's (seems like only a proto mind) but look at all that extra clearance around the shock area, i'd say they are using the proprietary downtube from the 951, exact same profile, hard to see with the bl00dy big shock mount section welded over it.

    More shock mount positions too!

no more being built as far as I know...something else in the works though...

mostly the popularity of the 951 has taken the M6 out......951 is a great bike

Being wrong on the internet is a mortal sin.

But back on topic, I do like the lines of the current CRC M6's much better. It just looks faster and less fat. With a bike that expensive, I think looks matter, maybe not as much performance but it better make you jizz every morning when you look at it, considering the price.

I agree, my 951 looks the sh1t, when your spending 5k, it has to! And why shouldn't when you can have it all these days. Companies are finally catching on to how aesthetics can really sell a product.

I think the current looks faster too, but i'm pretty sure thats the 951 downtube. Could be wrong. And by god i'll know about it if i am!!!

Man, the proto kind of reminds me of the new Toyota Tundra, which kind of reminds me of a blue space turd.
    +1 for the old version.

I just think the intenses look like two 4'x8' pieces of sheet metal, pressed and welded together. I know the V10's are assembled in kind of that fashion, but they look a lot more refined and sleek.

Maybe the current M6 Proto's are going to become one of those elusive collectors items. I can't see how the new one would perform better. It's probably cheaper to make though. But some how I have a feeling it won't be sold any cheaper. Giant Glory = Proof that DH bikes are way over priced.

Seriously, the most refined DH frame out there. It helps that it's on the 3rd generation.

No, Giant Glory = Proof that big corporation with it's own tiawanese (?) production facility can mass produce and buy components in bulk to bring down prices.

Just sayin.... Intense has had as much time to refine their VPP DH frame and it's not as refined looking.

Also remember that the amount of bikes giant manufactures will NEVER be equalled by intense.

Giant is the only company whose quality i will hold in equal (or possibly even higher) to an american made intense. Honestly, their bikes just oooze quality and value

    Back on topoc!

If the M6 is going to be among the most expensive DH frames, it better be look like the aluminium incarnation of Megan Fox. Bring back the old downtube!
