Why no drive side pic's? is it because you have no chain? post a pic anyways..even though ur spec list says you have one.

The bike looks sick but two things; stickers are meant for bashguards or chainstays and those Michelins love to be cut. I cut the knobs here on mine and it rode exponentially better:

Awesome bike......Do you color co-ordinate the way to dress to match the bike when riding it?

I would love to hear your comparison between the feel of Saint breaks verses your old Mags. That is...after you finally get her dirty.

Bob, it's what all riders do who want the tire to actually dig in corners, and not slide out unnecessarily.

Sicker bike than I'll ever own - AWESOME. The frame color is breathtaking. Nice weight too. But I've got to agree with WCH, the red sharpie is overkill, would have looked better without it. In my opinion, the only place it looks okay is on the calipers, that's it.

    Nice details.
Turn your front tire around. Disregard the label. Cut off half of the sideknob that has a little stripe on it. I's like they want to to do it...Look at the xc version, it is allready removed. It will open up the tread so the sideknobs will dig in and corner better on looser dirt unless you ride ultra hardpack (does that even exist?)

You do realise that a Roco is practically mandatory right?

That's easy - you just keep turning the knobs until it feels right. Doesn't matter how it works on the trail if you keep it next to the couch...

The only way to dial it in is to ride it. The only to get that 888 plush is to ride it. RIDE THAT BAD BOY BOB.

If you wanted a faster rolling tire, why didnt you buy HR's? Michies are heavy/slow as f**k.

This bike has been on here a week or so but yet to hear of that all important 'first ride' post/thread. Whats up Bob, you ridden that sucker yet? I dont want to buy into those 'home decoration' comments but im starting to lean that way....

head tube is too long....you need a taller fork like the 888 because the Shiver would be strait up and down (also tire might hit crown)

well i never measured your HT, but the flat crown will have clearance for up to a 5" HT and the drop crown adds an inch and a half to that. i didn't realize your HT was over 6 1/2 inches tall. which i highly doubt....

    large frame = 5.25" HT.

Don't forget tho, that's his race bike so he needs to keep it lean.

    soooo.....
straight up and down is 90 degrees. your bike probably sits at around 64-65 degrees now. if an inch more of fork equals roughly 1 degree, you are trying to tell me the 888 is around 23 inches taller that the shiver?

axel to crown hight on the shiver is 572mm while a 200mm 888 is 584mm which is a 12mm difference which is less than half a degree....

    no need to explain anything

"axel to crown hight on the shiver is 572mm while a 200mm 888 is 584mm which is a 12mm difference which is less than half a degree"

that right there speaks for itself. if you had your shiver on the bike, it would only be almost half a degree steeper....
