    Looking to get DH bike...

I really don't know much about them. I want to spend about $700-800 and get it used.

What I really would like to know is what are some good bikes around my price range so I can search for them on local craigslist.

I don't know man. There was a line in "Trading Places" where the guy in the pawn shop said "That's so hot, it's smokin..."

The people who placed the ads can't even spell the components names right... The bikes aren't bad, just bothers me that you might get scammed...

I think the Shockwave seems like the better deal. Heavy, sure, but solid bikes. IIRC you can put a shorter shock on for more "DH specific" geometry. I know there are a few of them kicking around on Ridemonkey.

Also, not sure how you could get scammed on Craigslist seeing as you can check everything out in person...

Yeah I would say used stinky or bighit...not a whole lot you can get in the full suspension(FR) department for around 8-900.

I am just gonna keep looking until I find something decent.

Is this Iron Horse worth it?

I still think the MC is the best deal, just test it out first.

Be sure to browse Inland Empire and Orange County as well as just the LA classifieds.
