Kona bikes, SC Bikes and SF bay

OK fist think is a question for kona stinky (DEE-lux) riders. Any one had any trouble with their stinky's, do the delux's weigh more that regular stinky (just frame) and will they climb ok? I saw many good reviews but some bad ones and everyone hates the weight. I kinda thought it might just be XC'ers who bought a FR bike.
    I just ran ito this
    http://wheelworld.com/site/itemdetai...t=Price%20desc
And i suddenly started to consider the deal. Originally I was going to buy a VP Free. A local store has one for $3400.00. I was gonna try and talk em down to $3100. or get em to upgrade some of the components. I don't think I want single piston mecanical brakes on a DH/FR. and the headset probably blows too.

Decisions like this can be tough. any one wanna help me out.

Also I wanted to know if anyone is in the SF bay area or nearby and where do you ride?

Hey try calling or stopping by Vision Cycles in SF the guys there ride alot and the owner is FAST. Remember that most of the trails up there are illegal so watch out. Tam has nice trails and there are others around that are manmade, and in Pacifica there are some that the Vision guys ride alot.

Hey I forgot to tell you that Vision rents true DH Santa Cruz bikes, maybe you could try a super 8 versus a newer design!!!!!!!!
