Knee & shin / elbow & forearm guards?

In the early 2000's everybody wore them or "pressure suits". Now it seems almost impossible to find something that covers the length of the forearm or the shin. Not to mention that everything is foam only with no shell. Why? What happened to our choices of battle armor? This foam stuff that covers 6" of your arm isn't doing it for me in the rock gardens. Ya know? Ttyl, Fahn

Lol I know what u mean. I was all suited out years ago.

I still snapped my arm like a twig in the suit.

I wear 661 elbows with the impact foam. Orange label. Good stuff. Knee 661 impact? Blue knee with a light shin. Works really well also.

You are right, riders wore way more protection back in day (some might say too much). There are still companies that make good full coverage. Dainese still makes some hardshell knee/shin and elbow/forearm guards that provide ample protection.

I wore a pressure suit last year, still broke my clavicle. No abrasions though! Yay!

I have some hard shell elbow armour ^^ use when out riding solo (and pushing it)... looking at getting some knee pads for my first Enduro event later in the year (where I'll need to push the envelope)... looking at foam rather than hard shell. I fall on my left elbow 80% of time (when I fall) ^^

I have these and they are beat to shit on the outside. I'd still use them if the garters held as well as the chassis. Theyre about 4 years old. The washing machine wasnt kind to the garters. http://www.amazon.com/Lizard-Skins-S.../dp/B003UWFJGK

I've got Leatt soft armor now. I saw a buddy take a dive using G-forms on the DH. Ima believer now. New fangled nanotech stuff can be worn and you can't even see it.
Most of the DH pros are wearing them under their jersies.
