If you're not living on the edge you're taking up to much space.

    Purty.

SMT I think the frame color differences is from the difference in lighting.

Turns out that five years of not mountain biking, really makes one strive to get back to it.

I did raise the seat, that's actually how high I ride it when I race at Southridge... I had to find a compromising seat height to be able to pedal while seated, and still be able to get behind the seat when riding the tech stuff. I found too that it helps to steer the bike when you can lean on either side of your seat. I actaully have an advantage on that Southridge course with my hardtail since there are a couple parts where you need to hammer the pedals on flat ground. ....by the way, you should come race this sunday. Racing sucks, but its fun. Just kidding.

Oh the geometry is cool, even though my frame wasnt designed for a 7in fork, it sits nice the way I have the legs pushed up thru the crowns all the way to the minimum height. I put a 5mm spacer between the headset and the top crown so the top crown doesnt pinch the top of the legs too low. It actually turns pretty frickin sweet, it doesnt tuck when cornering fast the way my fox fork would.
    Anyway, blah blah blah.
get your ass back down to the South Bay and lets go ride.

    Some things you guys missed.....
--different wheels........ Outlaws in the top, Alex in the bottom
--new shifter............... Deore in the bottom, 7.0 top
--new cassette............didnt expect you to get that one, SRAM 11-34 bottom, 11-32 top.
--new chain.................f**k cleaning em Shimano XT

Yes, I call it the neutral "can't decide between SRAM or Shimano drivetrain".
I run a Shimano chain, but a SRAM cassette, with a SRAM shifter hooked up to a Shimano derailer.
    ....And it works like butter.

I have a similar setup...not that I'm indecisive over which I like better, its just that getting rid of my XT stuff would be too expensive. I'd rather get new suspension....
