    Ironhose 7.3, weight loss.

    So im really thinking about getting myself a ironhorse 7point3. But the weight is ridiculous, well not that ridiculous bu if i am to get one i would like to bring the weight down. So this the setup, if you guys could just point out some places where i could really shave some weight that would be great.

    41 lbs is 8.7 kg? wow that bike is light in metric units

    clearly missed a 1... it's 18.7kg

    to be honest, to drop a noticeable amount of weight it'll probably cost you a fair bit... if you want a lighter bike then buy something lighter to begin with. just imo.

    Tubeless might help, other then that I'm not really sure if theres a cheap thing on that bike we can scrap for weight.

    41, I have mine right now at 39, are you running DH tubes? if so take them out. Weight isnt a factor, just ride money get your legs stronger.

    get a ti spring and it will weigh 41

    otherwise, save up for some lighter wheels or lighter fork. you'll notice the most difference with lighter wheels. lighter doesn't always mean weaker. the stock hubs are probably boat anchors.

    otherwise, ride it as it is. when something wears out or breaks, replace it with something a little nicer/lighter. it'll evolve into a lighter and nicer bike over time.
