installing boxxer. need a bottom pressfit/adapter or cup?

removed my domain, and there was a pressfit on top of the crown which the lower headset bearing sat on:

went to install my boxxer, and there was no pressfit on top of the crown. the bearing sits on the crown w/ some 'play' on it.

it seems it doesnt take much tightening of the bolt on the stem before there is friction on turning the bars..

is there a fitting or headset adapter piece/cup that i need to install for the bottom bearing to sit on?

fwiw, im running a FSA Orbit-E-1.5R headset.

they are pressed on but not that tight.

    Thursday Tech Tip - YouTube

to install it you can use any piece of tube with the right inside diameter and a hammer. I use an extension tube from a vacuum to set mine.

    + repped.

thanks. i tried fitting a flatthead in the little divot and twisting prior to seeing this link. ended up chipping it very slightly. since i sold the fork to someone else, and am shipping it tomorrow, i didn't want to scuff the crown or damage that piece any more.

atleast i know the proper way now. I see FSA has a crown race specific to the headset, but is there pretty much a generic/universal piece that a LBS will have that works?

    thanks for the help.
