I think he meant he was getting some atomlab pimp rims.... not a pimp new wheelset.

You could go rasta I9s... but Golds are the way to go otherwise.

but if you meant pimp rims as in atomlab trailpimps those are decent rims.

i think you guys are taking pimp rims too literally. he's obviously looking for suggestions for nice new rims. not atomlab products specifically

Oh yea mavic makes the Deemax wheelset which has yellow rims and hubs, and black spokes.

    I9s (Industry 9 )
are handmade wheels that can be customized in just about any color combo, with just about any rim choice.

How about going tubless with ex823's laced to Hadleys with CX-Rays?

Or I9's are always darn purdy.

He cold use I9 components with pimp rims if he chose I9, they don't make rims they use DT models depending on use, DH/FR 6.1 Enduro ST 5.1 etc but he can request them to build using any rim choice as I understand it.

Just get the rims you want powdercoated gold. It's like $30 a rim.

Exactly the wheel I just had built for the rear. The front has same rim and spokes but a c'dale lefty hub. A set of 690 gram 2.35 Schwable Super Moto slicks with Stan's No Tube. Not as light as the CrossMaxSL wheel set, but damn near and I won't break these in three months

this reminds me of when i use to ride bmx. i had a set of alex pimp rims. they were black chrome, they were pretty sick looking. i think there were only 2 sets in the USA and i had one of them.
I like to ride bikes fast.

Kawasaki green Spank Stiffy rims laced to Hadleys or Ringle's would be sweet.

    Okay,

Trying to decide what would looked better: Mavic DeeMax Wheel Set or (Blue, Grey, or Gold) I9 spoke and hubs with my current rims?
