I just had the best friggen idea

When i ride i have to ride to the top ( i live right next to my local trail) and its a sick downhill witha lot of fun drops, small but fun none teh less and then a sick downhill. well this is fun but when you do it you can only do it once a day because you are tired from the long steep climb. So when i rode last time i noticed a house from the top of the mountain, so im thinking oh that would be sick to live here you could ride down and get picked up at the bottom,i never really thought more about it. Next time i ride im gunna walk down to that house and ask the people who live there (as politely as possible) if i and a select few friends can have permission to drive up their driveway to use it as a shuttel run. it would be so sick, multiple runs in a day! Ahhh, why does it have to be dark out

I wish you luck, back where I used to live there was a sick trail with a gated community at the very top of like a 3 or 4 mile long, 2000' descent. I heard of people trying to implement a plan similar to yours, but the owners of the community were super uptight about it. Would be the funnest trail ever if not for the 4.5ish solid miles of climbing to get to it. Oh well, wasn't too bad lugging the little dj bike up there. Best of luck with your negotiations

how would that work. Going shuttle road route you still need owner permission for the driveway, and if an atv can climb the trails you ride, you might wanna step into the world of technical trail riding some time. Especially with the aforementioned drops from the original post

you obviously have never ridden atvs gnarcore style...

you could always go around the drops. if you have any skill you could make it up the hill, not necesarrily taking a trail. just do burnouts until your own shuttle road is made.

yeah that will make a lot of treehugers happy. I bet that trail would stay open for ever if that was the case!

... or you could keep climbing and earn it.

Sooner or later you'll be fit enough to make the climb more than once a day.

    Just a thought.

Ahh, so everyone's signatures should be turned off because a couple people can't figure out that a 20 line signature is stupid.

Good way to bow to the idiots rather than correcting their behavior...

    1. Its not like their signature is your business. Its a personal item that they ahve created, you can see it or not, but don't bash it. That is like making fun of someone's clothing or house color. Just b/c you think its overkill doesn't mean they should change it. The world doesn't revolve around you scrolling thru posts.

    2. Keep climging the hill. downhills are more fun when you earn it. So keep riding. I hope i'm not shot for saying this in the DH forum, but climbing is fun too, just harder. (true XC guy here just bumming through the DH forum for a change)

I couldent do the atv thing bcause it is public land, but not any public land, its a resivior, so if i got caught id havaea big fine...

thats why id do the shuttle to theese peoples house, off MDC land...

i turn them off because otherwise i would have had to see yours 334 times so far.....

not to mention how many times i would have had to see the 20 liner...

besides, they don't change often and after you've read it once you don't need to see it a bazillion more times...

Did you really just say that? WTF is wrong with you, ATV destruction is bad enough, the thought of an ATV pulling bikes while off-trail doing burnouts is fuggin ridiculous. I know environmental responsiblity is lost on some, but you don't have to flaunt yer ignorance!

    Brilliant.
The Super T you have is really a very good fork. I'd take that fork over a Fox 40 or a Boxer unless i was entering a fashon contest instead of a race
