I hate to ask, but what is a Grom (sp?) and a Homer- Mtbr.com

    I hate to ask, but what is a Grom (sp?) and a Homer

    I just have to know, and by asking does this make me a Grom or Homer?

    grom is short for grommet, which is a two piece metal ring pressed together to reinforce holes in cloth and the like. Homer (Greek Ὅμηρος Hómēros) was a legendary early Greek poet and rhapsode traditionally credited with the composition of the Iliad and the Odyssey. He is commonly assumed to have lived in the 8th century BC, but the dates are uncertain.does this answer you question, and yes, you are both a grommet and a homer...

    "grom" is a slang term for a young kid

    A grom or grommet isnt necessarly a biginner surfer but a YOUNG surfer... usually under the age of 15. Most of the time people that are called groms are youngins who RIP (are good)

    On the mtbr forums "homer" likely refers to a (usually fanatical) owner of a Turner bicycle. See here for a little history. Also, see my avatar.
