if you must brake, do so before you enter the berm. braking through a corner is unnecessery and causes the berm to errode. berms are there so you can corner faster so don't slow down just rail the outside. the top 4 inches of every berm are always the best ...

grab it by its haunches and f*** it into submission

but really - brake before hand, and just ride the berm through without changing speed

What you should really do is crash prior to the berm so you land in the berm. Haha. The way I like to ride them is to get real low on the bike with pedals parrallel and just wish for the best. Bascially just learn to lean the bike even with the side of the berm and practice it a lot.

Let off the brakes before you enter.
    Lean.
    Look.

Repeat and emphasize the last two until you get ragged.

braking in a turn/burm qill make the bike stand up and want to go straight - so thats definitely a no!

Build up speed - go Xmph on run 1, and go X+1 on the next, X+2 on the next........

    Feel dat shizzle out!

Something I just perfected. Heels down!! Sounds weird but it forces more traction to your tires. Old Skool berm tip.

YES! Weight your pedals by putting your heels down, and let the bars somewhat "float" in your hands.

Brake - if ya need before the corner
Line - choose yr line treat every corner like a berm
Shift - in the apex like surfing throw that dirt
look - through the corner, but at the shift stage look to where ya want to go down the trail exit u should exit on the inside and line up nicely to where or what comes next,.

watch the good guys do this, they look like they slingshot out of every corner

when ya get this down enjoy corners like ya enjoy jumping
    Just riding a muddy trail. . ..
