    Help with rear shock spring.

i have a 2003 rocky mountain rm7 with a fox vanilla rc rear shock. im too fat (225lbs) for the 550lb spring thats on it. it has a 550x2.20 on the shock right now and i would like to go to a 700lb spring due to the massive leverage of my rear suspension. the bike has 7" of travel but the shock only has 44MM(1.73") of travel.

would a 700x2.55 spring fit in the place of a 55x2.20?

A Town bikes in Auburn, CA had a 750 x 2.20 instock. its amazing how the correct spring rate changes the whole bike. picked up at least 2mph on the flat stuff and am pedaling up stuff i used to have hike up.
