    Gt Dh I

What do you guys think of the GT DH i? It seems like a really good bike but doesn't seem that popular. Anybody got some pics? Thanks

    Hey now, that me name.

Let's say it (DHi), once was a very popular rig. Many unsuspecting DH'ers went out and bought one. Everyone was very happy, for they rode well and were cheap, cheap, cheap $$$

Then one day, deep in the steeps.... a loud sound was heard.... C R A C K... followed by the sound of a lonely rider crying.

Sure, in many cases, but what good is that when it was a design flaw. Plus, many others got screwed when GT went belly up.

I had cracked two xc i-drives... same deal, it was another design flaw. You couldn'tt pay me to own another one.

2005 DHI's will be very reinforced to stop stuff from braking. From what I have heard this will be the last season of the DHI, BUT it get's lots of upgrades, until it is taken over by the g-box thing later this year, I guess ;-)

    yeh last year...

the tubing is a little different but not really that noticeable...the rear shock mount bolts have been fixed and beefed up seems as they were absaloute crap...

and yeh the newer model with the internaly geared rear hub and newer i-Drive system seen on XC bikes will replace the DH-i...

should finally be a nice bike...

The only ones i ever saw break, where the cheap mass produced ones the US produced ones seem to go better. I would disagree that it's only and intro bike. I seem to recall them winning alot of races.
