When you say mint condition, do you mean "slightly used"? Otherwise pretty good deal. 05 version retails for $799 new. I've seen the 04 as low as $499 at some online stores. What color, btw? Saw an 05 anodized midnight blue in person...big pimpin...
Better than he was before. Better. . . Stronger. . . Faster. (but not smarter)

Ellsworth is notorious for crappy customer service and not honoring warrantees. Some of their frames are also known to break a lot (Truth models). Hardtails are a little harder to f' up though so I would imagine the Specialist is pretty solid.

yeah Same here. I looked at the Ellsworth bike line when I was 1st going to get into DH but I did not look how thier DH frame looked like a wooden stick *cough *cough somthing in the back of my mind was saying Don't buy it. I'm glad I did not. I hate being left hanging when I pull 4K out of my ace. Not to mention its a #2 on my Ugly bikes list (dare).

If you absolutely have to have a new HT frame, then that is a fairly good deal. If I were you, I'd just pick up a Soul Cycles hardtail brand new. The Sluggo, Titan, or Loki all are solid frames.

I reckon you should post all the little questions that your life in general brings up!
You seem to love doing it with the mtb side of things!!

On topic, i say buy it!
I have no reason to justify that, but i'd like to hear that you have actually acted on one of your many questions!!!!!!

p.s i'm not having a go at you.
