Uh yeah, they're regularly $300, so yeah, it's a good deal.

But you're a semi smart guy, so you probably already knew that.

Looks like a smoking price. Suspiciously good...
Was there not some issue with 2 versions of the HD GoPro? Like updated sound or something...was that a firmware upgrade only (in which case I guess you might be able to update should this happen to be an older unit), or was it a chip upgrade or whatever? I don't remember, and can't dig up the info, maybe somebody else knows. Maybe I'm just hallucinating.

If the deal is legit it looks like a great price for sure.

    Never heard of...
The first and only, so far, firmware update, add several options... up-side-up/up-side/down, among others.
Shiver, take this one and get harness for rest of the money

The 960 is a cheaper version of the HD one (lacks the 60 fps mode), and the one mentioned above @$140 is the very first version, which was not even HD (still wide angle lens, but does not capture HD video).

i would say yes, get the $300 model...but dont pay $300. the one you linked to on the costco site isn't the 960. it looks like the full on HD Helmet Hero $300 model...just 20% off the retail price. that is what i paid for mine at REI when it first came out with the member coupon so its not unrealistic that they have it for that price a year after it was released....go for it

Performance bike has them for $300 with 8gb SD card minus 20% today.
I purchased mine last week when they had it for 15% off. Still a good deal.

Hands down, save the cash and get the HD 1080p. Not to knock the HD 920 or the wide, I've used all of them and would go 1080 all the way............Drew
