To go combo? or not to go combo?

I am still playing with the idea of getting a full squish frame this summer.

I have been looking into the transition DirtBag frame and it seems to be a really good bike.

Would it be a good idea to buy a frame/fork combo? or just buy a the fork sepetally used on ebay or someplace? I would probably want the 66 or 888.... leaning toward the 888. If it matters I am about 6'4" and weigh about 160 with gear.

Here is a link to the combo choices http://www.transitionbikes.com/2007/DirtBag_Pricing.cfm

a 66 would be just fine for you size. I wanted a Dirtbag for a long time. I ended up with a Chappy for an incredible deal. You can find a lot of of the 2006 models going for insane deals

the frame/shock/fork options that Transition offers are really nicely priced, especially the upgrades. The whole bikes are priced really well too
