    Freeride Hardtail Advice

I have a Haro Escape. I want to turn it into a big hit hardtail. I know that it probably isnt meant to have a 6-8'' DC fork up front but do u think it wud still be ok for me to do it? If not then what reasonably priced hardtail frame would you guys recommend for this task? Thanks alot

I would suggest you get a Banshee Morphine, .243 frame, or a transition vagrant. Those are the only frames I know are dual crown rated. I might be wrong on the vagrant, but I am pretty sure. Hope this helps. Also I would not put a DC on the escape.

Dude I hadnt seen that in years. Dug around on my puter and found it. Gives me a stiffy everytime I see it. Thats so nice smooth riding there.

Buy a HT frame designed and engineered for a DC. Your sack just might think you for it.

dude, your escape will be just fine with with a DC. my friend has one with a 7" sherman slider. its not "DC rated" because they didnt really offer one with a DC, but its definatly up to the task. but really, you dont need to get a DC fork, why not run a 66 or a flick ? the escape is way up to the task of freeride.

Cuz im pretty poor and a 66 or flick will be pretty expensive- its really easy to find used boxxers for about 250 or so.

Mojo Troll, can we see that vid?

Go ahead, put a Boxxer on it. It's a beefy frame. I love mine.

Yeah dont put a dual crown on your Haro Escape get a different frame like a Banshee Morphine, .243 racing, Norco Freeride Hardtail or if you want an ultimate hardtail get a Evil Imperial.

I picked up my 66 for $200.00 and flicks are really cheap.

it was basically new in box. guy bought it, used it once, it was too tall for his bike. there the bomber logo's were like...all busted up (stupid zocchi makeing aluminum decals) but I fixed those. so its an almost mint (now trashed) 05 66VF for $200.00, now there would be a part whare I would rant about how my 02 boxxer and kingpin lasted longer than this fork up at whistler, but i'll leave it out
