Um... Tapered or 1.125 steerer does not make a difference in the lowers.

Sorry, tapered steerer. I currently have a 1.5, and I need a tapered or a 1.25 for a new frame.

    umm....
Then you are looking for uppers, not lowers, lowers are not tapered

Yes, uppers, OK, so I need a 1.25 or a tapered steerer, crown and uppers for a fox36 van.
    thanks for the help!

Headtube is something that is on the frame... not the fork.

What is the size of the headtube of the new frame? 1.125" top and bottom?

You have a fork that is 1.5" top and bottom? If that's the case you need to buy a new fork. You can go from 1.125" fork to a 1.5" headtube with adapters but not from a 1.5" steerer to a 1.125" steerer.

I think there's some confusion with the term tapered. A "tapered" steerer measures 1.125" (1 1/8") on the top and 1.5" on the bottom.

Yes... and his new bike has a tapered headtube... so he can use either 1.125 or tapered steerer.
