    Fox fork issues

So I just bought my first bike today. A trek downhill session 9.9 2014 model and I bought it used. Well as I was assembling it I noticed that the front forks were different. Not in appearance but in how they moved. One fork is very hard and it's difficult to compress it and the other I can bottom it out with a small amount of pressure. Is my shock blown..? I can't find anything about this on the internet so maybe I'm just the only one having issues. I've ridden dirt bikes for a few years now and I now that dirt bike forks are both equally hard and springy so I thought it was odd that these bicycle forks were not. Could someone please let me know that this is normal so I can finally assemble my bike?

I'm assuming you mean the 2 fork legs? With these forks only one leg has the spring in it (air or coil, Left side) while the other leg contains the damper cartridge(right side). That's why you can compress one side easily but not the other one. When you're installing the fork you'll need to make sure you have both legs at equal height in the crown.
