    F'n pedals.....

So i just got a brand new pair of Crank bros 50/50XX pedals when i was in Vancouver a few weeks ago. Just took my first ride on them, got back home and noticed one of the plates on the pedal was sliding out. WTF!!!? I lost both (we'll call em)set screws on the plate and one off another plate! Guess i shoulda maybe thought to tighten em,but WTF,it was the first time i've used em!! So is there anyway(place) to get a few more? Or am i SOL? They give you a f'n gaggle of pins for the pedals and even four pink plates, but no set screws-pretty much the key component.

    Thanks

Well after this first spin on em i can't say i have much good to say either. They didn't even seem all that tacky, and i was wearing flat soled shoes and such. WTF with the sliding plates?!! Just more parts to lose and or break. Guess it's my fault for buying them. Got a good deal on them at least

Very true. I have never heard anybody say anything good about them.

They are not too bad if you use 5.10s for shoes.

    Otherwise they suck donkey biscuits.

Perhaps call crank bros for some set screw? or visit home depot?

Seems like an overwhelming belief that these things,do-indeed,suck balls. Fantastic.

I emailed em. We'll see what they say. Or if they even respond.

yeah, same think happened to me. I bought the same screws from home depo, and put some loc-tite on them. Havent givin me any problems since then. I also found that they werent that grippy, so I filled up all the holes where extra pins could be added, and now they work like a charm!!

Those pedals sure look nice, too bad it stops there... I'm just glad I didn't buy them.

Hahaha those pedals are absolutely HORRIBLE!

Even with 5.10's I felt like i was going to slip off at any moment. Do yourself a favor and buy some Azonic A-Frames with long pins for like $50 and some 5.10's. You'll never go back.
