New question here. Five Ten sizing and nto sure on Impact or Impact 2

Im looking at buying Five Ten High Impact or high Impact 2 shoes , but 1, im not sure about the sizing and 2 i dont know if it is worth it 2 get the impact 2 instead of the older impact for $30 more. Also I dont know how the sizing runs on these shoes and dont know what size to buy. I wear 11's in my DC shoes, and dont know how the sizing compares to dc shoes sizing. Also i dont know of anywhere to try them on.

oh, and yes i used the search button but didnt find anything. Im sure there were threads similar to this so sorry if i wasted ur time, i just need help.

FYI: I returned 2 pair of 5-10's that were too small, I finally ended up a full size bigger (bought the 13's when I'm a 12). No opinion on the older vs newer.

Older version is more comfy IMHO.

the impact (one) shoes are pretty darn comfy. but get a full size bigger. i wear size 10.5 Fox shoes and etnies, and 11 is is still a bit small but i live with it. they are almost ready to be replaced anyways, they are great for more than just biking.

I just had my Impact 2's turn up yesterday, I normally wear a US 12 and they fit me fine, a friend of mine had some Impacts delivered last week in his normal size and they were too small.

Once again, go a half size bigger and you will be fine.

I wear a 10.5 or 11 depending on brand and size 11 us Impact 2's are just a bit big for me. I gotta wear thicker socks with them. Go figure...

Sizing seemed to be pretty close to my other shoes and I prefer the older version to the new ones. The new ones are taking a lot longer to break in.

Sizing is close. I chose Impact 2's because of the narrower profile. I love 'em.

There is a store that has the impact's about an hour away. I might go try them on, if not then ill try my luch with the older impacts at pricepoint for $69.98. They're a size 10.5, the biggest size they have. If the size is off i might go to that store which has em for $90.

    Same here.

If your getting them online just order both sizes and pay the 7 bucks or ?? to return the pair that dont fit. Not someting you want to have the wrong size of and whats a few but to be sure of the size.

i usually wear vans skate shoes in a 10 so got my impact 2 in a 10 and they are just the same.

i went for impact 2 just because the shiny material on the outside look's easier to clean, and i prefer the look of the 2 better.

Going a half size bigger is probably the best thing to do. I got mine true to size, and they were a bit tight until I rode in them a few times and packed out the padding some. I still have to wear thin socks though. Go a half size bigger and you'll have less problems getting the tongues to go where they should when you lace them up.

I got the older ones. I figured why spend another 30 bucks? The old ones work great. Sometimes they are even a bit too sticky, although I'm figuring that will lessen with age...

    +1...Price Point here too.

    Impact low 2

Pretty true to size, I wear 9.5 in Vans and ordered these in 9.5 and they fit perfect, even with my wide skeets.
    Whats it like!!!
