    Firestone on Saturday morning

In case anybody is looking to go or doesn't have plans and feels like shoveling and packing dirt for a few hours, then riding, I am heading up to Firestone on Sat morning. I have an ext cab pick-up truck and can bring 3 more people and their bikes. I live downtown SB so anybody local just let me know and you got yourself a ride. We can work on a definite departure time tomorrow.

    Adios, N8

Damn, $70 is a little steep for what it is. I'll be there though, riding for the first time since December.

And that's if you already have a License. $80. with a one-day lic.

$hit.....They better have stripper's and free beer or I'm going to flip the tent over. Then poach the DJ's till they kick me out.

WOW....I thought the usual $40-45 was too steep for that race. No way in hell I'm going now. I might go to the practice or something if they're running shuttles - how much is it for that?

That price is way too high. At least I am racing 16 and under so it is cheaper. Does anyone know if you need a license to race 16 and under.

Wow, I'd definately rather shuttle now. Not that I haven't put a lot of work and time into that place (my team practically built the course), but I'm not gonna pay that.

It's $10 for the shuttle if you don't want to race?

Yes its spendy $55 race fee, $10 late registration fee and $8 1 day license thats $73 im not sure what they are charging for shuttle, but Shuttle at the Fontana race the following week is $20 so if your racing the NMBS the following week in Fontana prepare for a very expensive week of racing its way to steep for 1 run and no Norba points in DH at Firestone as far as I know.

Heres the link for the Firestone pricing https://www.ridesb.com/images/form_2..._entryform.jpg

You can qualify for National Championships, but no points. And it's 2 runs combined. Personally anyone who thought Sea Otter was worth it should definitely come. This course, though shorter, is more fun than Sea Otter's. (Though, I heard this last one was good) And you get 2 runs on it for your race. Sea Otter is pretty expensive if I remember correctly from last year. I'd say 70 bucks including the late fee isn't that bad. Take it or leave it...

mbfanatic Thanks for the 2 run format update and I know its your home course and that you have put the shovel time in, dont get me wrong Im not questioning whether it will be fun or not, of course it will be. The course is always fun and a good change from Fontana, but either way you slice it $73 ( thats two days at Mammoth and more expensive than Sea Otter entry) is alot of cake especially when compared to the Fontana winter series which was about $40 a race with shuttle and SRC discount, no late fee mind you for day of entry registration and the fact that next week is another Norba.

So its going to be alot of money especially if you just went to Sea Otter like I did. This month alone about $800 in racing fun after Sea Otter, Firestone and the Fontana Norba thats all im saying its not cheap. Will it be a good event and will the course be fun? I'm sure it will and all $$ complaints aside im sure I will be there spending my dough like the rest of you.
