A few action pics from today...

I took my Patriot up on the KU campus today to hit a drop I've been eyeing for a while. This was also my first day of sobriety in the five or so days since graduation, so it was the first time I've even been on the bike in like a week. Anyway, the wall is a little over six feet tall, and, from where I land, this is an okay ten or eleven foot drop. The tranny makes it a piece of cake, but we didn't have enough daylight to hit the 15-20 foot drop I found on the other side of campus. Anyway, this is right behind Wescoe Beach for all you KU students. Also I think these are my first action pics of the new bike...

There is a lot of good urban and freeride stuff on the campus being on "mountain" (relative to Kansas at least) and everything. Here's a pic of that bigger drop I was thinking about. You have to ride along that wall to be able to clear it though.

    nice drop.
It is huge at the bottom. Fits nice and snug around the ole noggin though. My main gripe is that it is farkin hot in there. I was burning up in the low-70s today.

Exactly...today was the first time I've actually done a lot of hucking on that bike so I was fiddling with the suspension for the first hour or so. Also, I have to bunny hop a curb about four or five feet in front of the lip...need a piece of plywood so I can concentrate on just flying off of it.

Good eye for the urban lines.
I gotta agree though, yer helmet is way too big. Either that or your head is shrinking.

I always love it when you find a nice drop to a sweet tranny that just looks like it was made for you....
